Hand-Drawn Illustration Print – Year of the mouse

This piece features my original hand-drawn illustration of the Mouse from the Japanese zodiac series I created for my 2018 solo exhibition. The original artwork was drawn entirely with a single ballpoint pen on paper, then scanned and refined digitally for printing.

In Japan, each year is represented by one of the twelve zodiac animals, known as Eto. It is believed that keeping an item featuring the animal of your birth year brings good health, protection from misfortune, and positive energy. These zodiac animals are also linked to guardian deities, making them symbols of good luck and spiritual harmony.
