This handmade organic cotton hoodie is upcycled from a Fukuro obi featuring traditional Japanese four-season floral motifs.
Woven in gold-threaded silk, the design celebrates seasonal flowers such as chrysanthemum, cherry blossom, and maple, symbolising harmony, longevity, and renewal.

Custom orders are available in the same fabric.
As each piece is made from a single obi, the pattern placement will vary, so it won’t be exactly the same as shown in the photos. If you’d like, we can confirm the fabric placement in advance by email—please get in touch.

What is a Fukuro Obi?

A Fukuro obi (袋帯) is a long, decorative sash traditionally worn with formal kimono in Japan. Usually woven from luxurious silk with intricate patterns, the obi is a symbol of Japanese craftsmanship and culture.

By repurposing this beautiful textile, we create a sustainable hoodie that blends Japanese tradition with contemporary fashion. Perfect for those who love unique festival clothing, boho streetwear, or Japanese-inspired style.
