Festive Court Scenes Obi Hoodie
This Festive Court Scenes obi hoodie is made from an exceptionally rare Japanese obi, woven entirely in gold thread and depicting everyday life and celebrations in historical Japan. Across its full 4.5-metre length, the fabric tells a continuous story, with different scenes appearing throughout, meaning no two sections are ever the same.
Custom orders are available in the same fabric.
As each piece is made from a single obi, the pattern placement will vary, so it won’t be exactly the same as shown in the photos. If you’d like, we can confirm the fabric placement in advance by email—please get in touch.
Orders are usually ready to ship within 7–10 days.
Sizes currently in stock are available for immediate dispatch.

What is a Fukuro Obi?
A Fukuro obi (袋帯) is a long, decorative sash traditionally worn with formal kimono in Japan. Usually woven from luxurious silk with intricate patterns, the obi is a symbol of Japanese craftsmanship and culture.
By repurposing this beautiful textile, we create a sustainable hoodie that blends Japanese tradition with contemporary fashion. Perfect for those who love unique festival clothing, boho streetwear, or Japanese-inspired style.
Fabric and care
Dry clean, or gently hand wash in cold water, avoiding the obi section.
