This handmade organic cotton hoodie is crafted from a 4.5-metre Fukuro obi — a formal Japanese sash traditionally woven from silk and worn with ceremonial kimono.

The obi features an intricate gold-ground design with figurative and floral motifs, originally created to tell a story through textile. By reworking this historic fabric into a contemporary hoodie, the piece becomes a quiet meeting point between Japanese craftsmanship and modern everyday wear.

Custom orders are available in the same fabric.
As each piece is made from a single obi, the pattern placement will vary, so it won’t be exactly the same as shown in the photos. If you’d like, we can confirm the fabric placement in advance by email—please get in touch.
