A one-of-one piece handmade by Groovy Japanese Boutique using an authentic vintage Japanese silk haori.

This piece is created in the same GROOVY REWORKED design style as a piece worn on stage by Skin of Skunk Anansie. As every piece is made from an individual vintage garment, each one is completely unique and no two are exactly the same.

The deep black silk features an exquisite hexagonal pattern inspired by the traditional Japanese kikkō motif — a timeless design symbolising longevity and good fortune.

Delicate shimmering details are woven into the fabric, subtly catching the light and revealing the intricate beauty of the traditional craftsmanship.

A traditional Japanese mon (family crest) adorns the upper back, representing the rich history and heritage of Japanese clothing.

Three metallic gold stripes have been added along the sleeves, creating a bold contrast between the refined elegance of vintage Japanese silk and contemporary streetwear.

The ivory silk lining features a beautifully woven landscape design, complemented by the original pale pink braided haori ties.

A striking fusion of Japanese tradition, modern streetwear and rock ‘n’ roll attitude.
