This weekend at the market, I ended up having a lot of conversations about what I do and why I do it.
In Japan, so many kimono are discarded every year — pieces that once held so much history and craftsmanship.
It’s something I think about quite often.
Through my work, I just want to give some of these textiles a second life.
It was really nice to meet people who took the time to listen, ask questions, and connect with that idea.
Those conversations stayed with me more than anything else.
