We’ve just returned from Download, the second festival of the year.
It was our first time trading there, and I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. What surprised me most was how naturally rock music and Japanese culture came together.
Over the weekend, I met so many wonderful people. The love and appreciation people had for Japan, its art, and its culture genuinely moved me more than once.
By the second day, several products had already sold out, which made the remaining five days a bit of a challenge, but it also gave me a lot to think about for next year.
It was a busy, exhausting, and incredibly enjoyable festival.
I only got home yesterday, but there’s not much time to slow down. With five more festivals still ahead this season, I’m already reordering stock, planning new pieces, and starting to train additional staff.
Festival season is definitely in full swing now.
