Today I was back at my regular spot at St Nicholas Market in Bristol, and thanks to the beautiful weather, it was busy from the very start of the day. The market was full of energy, with people taking their time to explore and enjoy discovering something a little different.
One particularly special moment stood out. A customer who had previously purchased one of our hand-designed Christmas jumpers as a gift for her brother in Hokkaido, Japan, came back to visit us. She wanted to show me a video her brother had sent — wearing the jumper and clearly loving it.
Knowing that a piece we designed here has travelled all the way to Japan, and is being worn and enjoyed every day, was incredibly moving. The fact that she took the time to come back and share that moment made it even more meaningful. It reminded me why thoughtful, well-made clothing matters so much.
Moments like this deepen my appreciation for what I do — creating unique, well-crafted garments that carry a story and connect people across cultures.
